Reconeyez and security specialist TPMC are helping guarding companies add AI-powered intrusion detection to their existing services, without needing to build an in-house installation team.
Designed in response to feedback from guarding companies facing low margins, recruitment difficulties and rising operating costs, the model combines rapidly deployable Reconeyez technology with TPMC’s technical, operational and commercial support.
About TPMC
Toute la Protection du Massif Central (TPMC) provides intrusion alarm, video surveillance and fire protection services to clients ranging from private individuals to national organisations.
“As a multi-brand provider and installer, we felt that we were missing an independent system like Reconeyez. We now have more than four years of experience installing and supporting the technology as a Reconeyez installer and distributor,” explains Marie Saint-Just, Technician at TPMC.
Working together to extend guarding services with remote detection
Since 2022, TPMC and Reconeyez have developed an approach that gives guarding companies a practical route into technology-enabled security services, without needing qualified installers in-house.
Reconeyez provides rapidly deployable AI-powered intrusion detection, while TPMC provides product supply, installation expertise, ongoing support and after-sales backup. Together, this enables guarding providers to extend coverage across more client sites while continuing to own and manage the customer relationship.
“Our clients saw this as an opportunity to expand their capabilities to monitor more sites,” shares Marie. “The partnership enables guarding providers to combine detection and monitoring with patrols and physical response.”
Featured deployment: Responding to changing site risks
One of TPMC’s early Reconeyez deployments involved a national client that initially needed to address illegal dumping across its sites. Over time, the requirements expand following the theft of gates and fencing and the discovery of a burnt-out vehicle.
TPMC worked closely with the client throughout the entire process. For this client, the Reconeyez tripod, combined with autonomous smart detection technology, provided a rapidly deployable solution that could be installed and repositioned easily, even on sites without existing power or communications infrastructure. HD images and real-time alerts give the security team clear, actionable information to respond quickly and effectively.
TPMC completes the essential setup in advance, so the Reconeyez equipment can be positioned and connected on site. This creates a model in which security teams can deploy the equipment while TPMC handles specialist configuration remotely.
“For guards and security managers, it is an effective solution because they only have to secure the equipment in position,” says Marie.
End-to-end support from TPMC
TPMC supports guarding companies throughout the process, from product selection, order management and project planning through to deployment.
Technical support includes remote installation guidance and quality checks, Cloud and alarm receiving centres (ARC) integration, monitoring setup and operational support.
Reconeyez technology and Cloud Platform capabilities also allow TPMC to configure detection, review installations and support monitoring operations remotely.
“Remote connectivity is a major and essential asset for everyone. Some will choose the Cloud, others the user app, and others both,” says Marie.
This flexibility means providers can choose how much of the technology they manage themselves while retaining ownership of the wider client service.
Benefits of AI-powered intrusion detection for guarding companies
Many guarding businesses are dealing with low margins, increasing regulatory pressure, recruitment difficulties and rising fixed operating costs. Rapid-deployment technology provides a way to extend coverage and create additional services without increasing guard numbers at the same rate.
It can help providers:
- Protect sites that may not justify permanent physical guarding.
- Add remotely monitored detection to existing client services.
- Respond quickly to temporary or changing risks.
- Generate recurring income through monitoring and equipment hire.
- Combine detection with patrol and physical response.
- Expand their offer without establishing an in-house installation team.
The commercial model is also designed around equipment that can be used repeatedly. Because the durable, long-life Reconeyez devices can be deployed and redeployed across multiple projects, the same hardware can continue generating return on investment over several years.
By combining advanced security technology with technical and commercial support from TPMC, guarding companies can introduce a new service using the client relationships and operational expertise they already have.
For providers looking to complement traditional guarding with remotely monitored detection, the partnership offers a practical route to protecting more sites, diversifying revenue and building a more scalable security service.
